Claiming Grace by Susan Stoker.......What a great start to this new series. As always Susan Stoker writes books you can't put down, I finished in one sitting. I enjoyed watching this story unfold between Logan and Grace. Susan Stoker is one of my top authors, I know the book will be a five star read. I highly recommend reading this book and starting the new series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Im a huge Susan Stoker fan. I had high expectations for this book, as Susan has a way of telling a story and making it come to life for you.

I was NOT disappointed! This story pulled my heart strings in so many ways. It also pissed me off, many times. The storyline is one that made me want to teach in the book and strangle people, throat punch others and have Grace's head examined....

The gripping tale of three men, and one woman who all have been through so much in their lives is not only gripping it's a bit terrifying. To know they've struggled and for so many years been on their own was crushing. But when Logan and his brothers, Blake and Nathan (who are all fraternal triplets) come back to town and start Ace Security, all bets are off. Nothing is as it once seemed and now it's a race against time to make the truth be known.

Grace has been under her parents thumbs since she was born. There is no love there, they simply want to own and use her. She's their plan in a wicked game of cat and mouse, this to changes once Logan comes back to town. Grace tries to find a way free of them.... but there is no escape. Or so she thinks.

Logan and his brothers, along with their friend Cole and her Felicity are ready to turn Castlerock on its head to get her away from the manipulative grip of her nasty parents.

It's a game that Logan and crew are willing to fight until they can fight no more. In the end, Grace has to be able to handle what's happening.... and make her own choices. Live free, or stay hidden and alone forever.
I stumbled upon Susan Stoker about 3 years ago, and I haven't been disappointed yet. Claiming Grace is a wonderful example of why she's a must read author. Her heroines are realistic and relatable. Like how she wrote about Grace, many victims of mental abuse act like Grace does. Stoker does a great job at writing about even though Grace knows her parents are abusing her, she also writes about the difficulties Grace has trying to separate herself from them. While Logan helps Grace to find the courage to finally break free of her parents, he just part of the catalyst for her to do so, not the actual break. You'll find that Susan creates a lot of her heroines like this, women who show their alpha men what courage really is.

Loved Claiming Grace, like all her other books. Like I said, Susan Stoker is the author that everyone should be reading.
This is the first book in the new series Ace Security, and is something a little bit different from Susan Stoker. In Claiming Grace, Susan gives the reader a small inside look at what life can be like for those that have been abused. Abuse stories can be hard to write but Susan has done a great job with Logan and Grace’s story. It’s a story that at times is heartbreakingly sad, at other times it’s wonderfully romantic, and leaves you cheering from the sidelines for their HEA.
I fall in love with all of Susan’s characters. Each story is standalone though each book is connected in the series. Each series adds another layer to the connections, and all these connections bring me back to read her books over and over again. I think you will love this book as much as I did. I’m looking forward to reading more from Susan in the coming years.
Logan Anderson moves back to his hometown of Castle Rock, Colorado, to start a personal-security business with his brothers. Grace Mason was his best friend from high school…and the woman who never answered his letters during his Army years. Both cared deeply for each other, but both thought they had each moved on and forgotten about their childhood friendship and love for each other. When they find out that Grace's parents are responsible for her never receiving his letters, the reforge their friendship. When Grace's emotionally abusive and controlling parents try to keep them apart, the two must fight to free Grace from the suffocating hold of her family. Grace's parents use whatever means (including illegal) they want to try to keep the couple apart and keep her under their thumb, but Logan refuses to give up now that he's found his love again.

This book has a good amount of suspense. It does dive into some serious physical and emotional abuse without being too graphic. There is some sexual content, but it's well within context and there is plenty of plot. The characters are well developed and well written. No cliffhanger and ends with HEA. There will be a continuation in the next book in the series, but each book can be read as a standalone. This was an excellent start to her new series. Can't wait for the next book!!
I pre-ordered this book and was so excited to see it show up on my kindle. I read it immediately and fell in love with Logan and Grace and all the secondary characters. I loved that Ms. Stoker brought a very seldom problem to the forefront of her book. We often read about abuse of children and women but don't here about the men who also suffer silently with this issue.

I have all of this author's books and I think I enjoy everyone more than the last one until I reread one of them. This book in in my keeper file and I can hardly wait for the next in the series.

I highly recommend you read this story. You too will fall in love with Lucas and Grace. You will root for them to win, and will be so happy with the ending. I loved that Grace has a strong inner strength and I admired the way Lucas realized how much he needed to support Grace emotionally. It was nice to see a strong hero without the over the top alpha that so many authors write about. Made Lucas seem so much more real. If you read none of her (Susan's) books read this one. Then read all the others!
