I really wanted this book to make it to four stars. This is the sixth and best (IMO) entry of the series. While past characters have been interesting, Jill finally gets a bit more depth here and allows her characters to show their flaws and not just solve them by looking at their significant other's eyes; here, characters actually talk out their differences, which is fantastic. The interactions between Ryan and Reece were long awaited and are wonderful, and Nikki is a great, strong character, even if at times I felt like she was being pushed around a bit and she didn't mind. But it's fine.
It's a slightly different book from the rest as Nikki and Reece find themselves on the run and end up at Saddleback Ranch for protection (at one point he says it's the safest place there is - really?). And how every single couple (or most of them) end up getting it on in the middle of the field and no one ever happens to see them... seriously? I get that the ranch is massive, but... it's 2pm and no one's doing anything around there? I understand the added tension from that, but I have my reservations on people being naked in ranches when the sun is shining in the sky and everyone else is working nearby.
My main issue, as it is with all previous entries, is that grammar is at times very bad, dialogues are sometimes confusing as punctuation and quotation marks are wrongly put, and someone needs to re-read these books to make them better. What angers me is the fact that these are really fun, light reads with great romantic scenes and the absolutely lacking editing job makes me unable to give them any higher points because they had me frowning throughout the reading experience.
Please, edit these books Jill.

Roping Ryan The West Series Book 6 edition by Jill Sanders Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Not quite like the rest of the series but it still fit with the rest and I enjoyed reading it and hope there will be more additions.
it's great to see how everyone is doing. just like a huge family reunion, but without any bad stuff happening along with a new story. I just preordered no 7, Wild Bride.
Another great in the line of the West Series!!! Great writing with amazing characters. Keeps you wanting more. Hope there is more to come from this series???
This is the most heartwarming and loving cowboy series I have ever read. I absolutely loved every book and story about this family. It is an excellent series and I highly recommend everyone read.
In this book Ryan is an undercover narcotics detective who hasn't seen his twin brother in a lot of years. In fact his brother hires a PI to find him. There are many interesting twists and turns to the plot which lead to a happy ending.
I have read all the books in this series and this one gave Loving Lauren a run as best in the series. Like with all the books in this series there are a lot of errors. If the author had an editor read over this book (or any in the series for that matter) then they should fire them and find somebody else. I would love to have a hard copy of this book and take a red pen to it and then send it to the author or publisher. In some instances when it should have said him it said her or he instead of she and vice versa and sentences would be missing or have repeated words in them. Some of the reviews said that this was an easy read but I do not consider a book were I have to reread sentences and change or add/remove words to figure out what it is supposed to be an easy read. The author also would put the wrong name in sometimes, in this book she would call the main character Reese when it should have been Ryan (like in Holding Haley when she called Wes Grant.) In all the previous books we learned that Ryan and Reese were cousins to Lauren, Alex, and Haley. Since they all had the West last name I assumed that their fathers were brothers, in this book we find out that Ryan and Reese's mother and Lauren, Alex, and Haley's father were siblings. If this is the case then Ryan and Reese should not have the West last name but the last name of their father.
If you can look past all the errors then it is a really good book that was different from all the others in the series. Unlike the previous books, we had not met the two main characters before and I think that made the book a lot more interesting. The story line in this book was a lot different too. You have a female character that grew up in the city and was just experiencing life in the small town of Fairplay for the first time. The relationship between the two main characters I think moved a lot faster in this book, which is saying something because they moved pretty fast in all the other books.
Ryan West had not been seen or heard from since the day that he disappeared from his father’s ranch. His twin brother Reece had looked and wondered for years what had happened to him but it wasn’t until his fiancé Melissa suggested that he hire a private investigator that he finally found him. It had been years since Melissa had seen him at a hospital with bullets in his stomach but it did give them a place to start.
Nikki Dawson was a PI working for her dad and she begged to be able to cover something that wasn’t about cheating spouses or some other low scale job. Her first missing person case had her looking for Ryan, only problem was that the only lead she had was years old. She couldn’t believe her luck when she found him but she had no idea what she was getting into. He was an undercover narcotics agent and she had just blown his cover, now both of their lives were in danger and they had no other option but to run, hide out and trust her dad and Ryan’s boss to help them out. Ryan couldn’t think of a better place to hide than on Saddleback Ranch.
Ryan has been a mystery since we first met Reece in Missy’s story. The missing half of Reece’s past that he had long since given up hope of ever finding. This book was full of mystery and suspense as you wondered how long it would take for them to be found. It’s another beautifully written sweet romance by Jill Sanders that focuses on small town life, families, and lots of lots of love. Another great addition to a great series, I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for us next.
